We are under contract!

Yay! So our offer was accepted and we are under contract. We have to have the inspector out to inspect on Friday then we will close at the end of the month. I am picking out furniture, as our huge dining room table won't fit and we also need a new washer and dryer.

This is the washer and dryer that I like (but probably won't be getting):

Denver Water offers a 150 dollar rebate for buying an energy star washer which is awesome.

The table that we picked out looks something like this:

We have never had dark wood but our cabinets are dark so as we buy pieces for the living room/dining room/kitchen we want them to be somewhat matching.

We are so excited!

I am totally with you on the washer and dryer - I LOVE them... but alas, the price always wins out, at least for me. Maybe I can live vicariously through you ;) (wink)

Yes the price is more than we can afford for sure! I hope that we can afford front loading though. I have been checking out the scratch and dent places!

If they come with warranties (which they should), I would get them. In the long run you'll probably save lots of money, since they're very energy-efficient. This is what I'm getting when we move next summer. =)

Just wanted to say hi and thanks for your comment on SuperMom Central! We are moving in 3 weeks and I absolutely INSISTED that we get a front loader because they really do save you money in the long run - and not just on utility bills. They are also gentler on your clothing and your dryer keeps up with your washer, which saves YOU time and a mom's time is invaluable! They have a gorgeous and reasonably priced set at Costco that I've got my eye on.

Congrats on your house - it looks darling!
